The author observes and analyzes the last 30 years of Syrian cinema. This latter gave the cinema world many special and serious performances reflecting the aspects of both social and economical life in Syrian society. Moreover, the Syrian cinema witnessed many efforts deployed during the 70s without reaching perfection. In this book, author al-Dasouki introduces problems related to production, funds, and distribution which are still hindering the progress of Arab cinema. He also deals with films and producers, their aspirations, biographies, and work. Furthermore, the book includes an interview with director “Mohammad Malas”, as well as an overview on author “Ibrahim Dasouki”.
